PE & Rebound Therapy
Below you can view our PE Curriculum offer and sample videos of PE lessons from all Sports Pathways.
Jonathan, the Village School PE Lead, and Sam our Sport Instructor, are trained Rebound Therapy practitioners.
Rebound Therapy is used to facilitate movement, promote balance, promote an increase or decrease in muscle tone, promote relaxation, promote sensory integration, improve fitness and exercise tolerance, and to improve communication skills.
It is used across our curriculum with pupils from Stepping Stones, Tracks and Lanes all benefiting from the therapeutic approach. In particular their has been a significant benefit for our more physically disabled pupils. Our Occupational therapy team and Physical management strategy support team also support the PE department both with Rebound Therapy.
The Rebound Therapy levels builds into our overall Physical Development outcomes which are monitored as part of our 'Progress 8' range of outcome indicators.
