Kingsbury High School

Kingsbury Village Site located at Kingsbury High School

At The Village School, the Village 3 provision (14-19 year olds) is split over 3 sites, The Village School main site, The Kingsbury Village site at Kingsbury High School and The College of North West London in Willesden.

This split site provision offers our students an outstanding personalised pathways curriculum in which the students can access main stream inclusion activities, higher level qualifications to suit their personal aspirations for their future as well as develop skills in personal and social development.

At The Kingsbury Village Site, we aim to create and develop inclusion opportunities whenever possible. Our students’ take part in Kingsbury High School’s carousel system. This comprises of: Art; drama; music; Design technology and Food technology. Students attend these lessons on a rota basis. Students’ are given the option of which subject they would like to attend.   If a student has been identified as having an ability to access a higher level qualification in one of these subjects, they will attend that subject on a full time basis to enable them to gain the skills and knowledge needed for a possible future career.

We also have opportunities for our students’ to carry out GCSEs that we do not offer at The Village School, this ensures that our students have a meaningful and purposeful school career that truly prepares them for their futures.

We have the privilege of accessing Kingsbury High School’s wonderful facilities in order to enhance our curriculum. Their large food technology department offers the students individual work spaces so they can develop their independent living skills. Their school canteen offers us inclusion opportunities, self-help skills, choice making and for some, money management.

We are proud to say that in Personal and Social development, the students at KVS are making outstanding progress. 100% of students have made expected progress and 73% of those are making better than expected progress.

In English, 100% of students have made expected progress and 66.6% of those are making better than expected progress. And in Maths, 100% of students have made expected progress and 66.6% of those are making better than expected progress.
