A message from our Headteacher regarding Spring Term

Posted on: 1 January 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

I sincerely hope you have had a restful festive period.

You may have heard the latest Government update yesterday regarding the return to school next week.  Brent is on the list of areas where the transmission rate is rising at a worrying rate. All schools have been asked to put testing arrangements in place over the first few days of the new term. Please be assured that we are working on putting together a plan. After liaising with the Executive Leadership Team and Chair of The Trust, it has been decided that we will be closing the school to all children on Monday 4th January in order to formulate a clear and robust plan of action and train staff. Remote learning will be offered to all children on Monday 4th. I hope that this short term measure will have a longer term impact on the wellbeing of all the Village School community.

I wanted to give you as much notice as possible because I am aware that some parents and carers will need to arrange childcare.

I thank you in advance for your patience and support.
